CAN CH Cedarwoods Ivyhill Absolut

"Phoenix" is the result of a breeding of a stunning daughter of AM/CAN CH CEDARWOODS MASTER GUNNER, WC (CAN CH Cedarwoods Ivyhill Absolut) to CH Langshott Gale Force From Kimvalley ("Garry") who was imported from England at 6 months of age.

With "Absolut's" pedigree very strongly linebred on Black Arrogance, Garry was carefully chosen as an outcross.

Garry is extremely strong for "type" (head, coat, tail), as well as being very short-coupled and with strong bone.

Had become a top producer in the United States for several years, producing Labradors who did it all.

Phoenix was first exhibited at 7 months and was selected Best Male over several adults and went on to a Sporting Group Puppy 1st.

A couple of weeks later, he received a second Sporting Group Puppy 1st, and finished his Canadian Championship a few weeks later.

At the Seattle Kennel Club's very large show in March 2006 he was awarded back-to-back Majors and finished his American Championship in early May 2006!

Phoenix is producing beautiful heads, correct fronts and rears, balanced and fluid movement and very sound Labradors.

He has two Champion daughters so far and was recently awarded Best Stud Dog at the Island and Pacific Labrador Retriever Specialty under English breeder-judge Ms. Heather Wiles-Fone.

He has the most wonderful willing-to-please temperment and both he and his puppies LOVE to hunt! "PHOENIX" was awarded BEST STUD DOG in excellent competition at three Labrador specialty shows this past year under respected breeder-judges:

** IPLRC under Mrs.Heather Wiles-Fone (England) ** The Labrador Retriever Club of Canada, NATIONAL under Mrs. Marion Hopkinson (England) and **BCLRC under Mrs. Winnie Limbourne, CA.

AOM Can CH Cedarwoods Almond Roca Divine

I searched for more than a year for the stud dog my "Roca" would be bred to. I wanted to linebreed on CH Borador Wilcare Mastercopy and insisted on perfect clearances and near perfect structure and tremendous type.

CH Wilcare Leisure Suit Larry was chosen and the first litter was spectacular and incredibly uniform. I wasn't able to keep a puppy until the September 7, 2008 litter - my "SIGGY".

CEDARWOODS SIGNATURE BROWNING COPIED was selected from a litter of 3 males and 6 females. The angles in the shoulder, upper arm and rear-end were amazing and 'orange boy' became my boy "SIGGY"

His first time out was the British Columbia Labrador Retriever Club show, August 2009, when he was 11 months old.

I was blessed as he was selected WINNERS DOG AND BEST PUPPY IN BREED as judged by international judge Virginia Lynn.

A couple of weeks later, he was entered in one show on a 3 day weekend in B.C. and was awarded Best of Breed for 5 points. At Ladies Kennel Club show, he was again awarded Best of Breed over Champions and a SPORTING GROUP SECOND to finish his Canadian Championship in style.

At Rose City Labrador Retriever Club Specialty #1 South of Portland Thursday July 12, "Siggy" won the Open Chocolate class and also the Hunting Retriever class under respected breeder-judge Barbara Nowak (BROYHILL). She awarded him WINNERS DOG for 5 majors, no minor points, 1 major reserve and 18 points! She later remarked how she "loved his fluid and correct movement and that he certainly did have an exceptional length of neck and wonderfully laid back shoulders."

The 2nd RCLRC specialty was judged by Elizabeth Bowron (FORTUNE). I was so blessed to have her bring out the Best Of Breed Rosette and look between her Winners Bitch and "Siggy" and yet awarding him BEST of OPPOSITE SEX! With it being 95 degrees and 98% humidity, pictures weren't great, but he kept showing for me!

HE HAS HAD TREMENDOUS INTEREST AS A STUD DOG.

Cedarwoods Jamin Jasmine

“Roca” was ‘created’ over several generations of carefully breeding sound, producing Black/blacks to chocolates.

Her dam, “Jasmine” was by design, the combination of Black/blacks who were linebred on AM/CAN CH Monarch’s Black Arogance, CD, WC bred to the stunning chocolate dog AM/CAN CH Cedarwoods Gunner O’ Fawnhaven, CD, WC, JH, SH (“Shooter”).

This gorgeous chocolate male is actually linebred on “Black Arogance” over three generations. “Shooter” was given to Don and Barbara Ironside as a puppy with breeding access and became one of the few labradors for a time to be a conformation champion as well as Senior Hunter titled. “Shooter” was awarded Reserve Winners Dog at the National Specialty in Wisconsin at 18 months old under a top European judge.

He was awarded many time first place in competitive Stud Dog classes at Specialties in the United States and Canada before passing away at 15 ½ years old.

“Roca” came to us in a most amazing way; Truly ‘from God.’ She matured into a beautiful girl and was presented at some of the largest championship shows in Washington, handled beautifully by Brianna Jeffers.

She was awarded multiple Reserves to Major entries, displaying amazing front assenbly, thick coat and fluid movement. She was only shown a few times in competitive shows in Canada with multiple Best of Breeds and won the sporting group the first time entered as a champion.

“Roca” is powerful in the field and cuts through deep water like a ‘hot knife through butter.’ She is pure enthusiasm as she delivers to hand, then begging to go again and again !

Beechcroft's Cambrdg Studytime

In November of 2014, I was honored when Mary and Michael Wiest of Beechcroft Labradors in N.J. asked to use Siggy for stud to their beautiful “Time”.  Shortly after we lost Siggy,  Mary told me “Time” was developing a tummy (3 weeks after being bred).  Time had eight beautiful black and chocolate puppies and Michael and Mary were generous to me, allowing Truffles to be mine from Siggy’s very last litter.

She has a beautiful head with dark eyes and a lovely expression. She is always smiling. Truffles has a balanced front, beautifully deep for age, outstanding bone and coat and a solid rear.   She moves effortlessly.

At her very first shows, she was in a tough 6-9 month class of fifteen puppies and placed 4th in classes under Pauline Mortier, Marion Daniels and Marlynne Frisbie.

Brush & Marsh Look Out Taz is Coming

“REMI” is an older sister to “HUNTER”.  She is out of BRUSH & MARSH’S “TAZZY” and sired by “SIGGY”

This was a beautiful first attempt to this linebreeding  and the litter was amazing in consistency. The puppy’s rears - each excellent in thigh and second thigh with short hocks and rear setting easily behind the hip socket. Length of neck - for very good shoulder angle was strong for all puppies but two and bone and coats were very nice.

“Remi” is very energetic and agile; strong physically. She has very good size for age.
